“Karaki,” also known as Ryukyu cinnamon, is a traditional ingredient that has recently gained popularity in Okinawa. Ōgimi Shikuwasa Park offers visitors sweets made with both shikuwasa citrus and karaki.

別名、琉球シナモンと呼ばれる「カラキ」。スイーツの原料に使われるなど、沖縄で最近注目の食材。大宜味村にあるシークヮーサーパークでは、シークヮーサーやカラキのスイーツが味わえます。

One recommended treat is the “Karaki and Brown Sugar Syrup Mont Blanc” which is made with karaki infused into the chestnut cream and the snowy powdered sugar topping. First, enjoy it as is; then drizzle on the black sugar syrup for a richer, deeper flavor that spreads sweetly and fragrantly in your mouth. A delight for anyone with a sweet tooth!

「カラキと黒みつのモンブラン」は、モンブランクリームや粉砂糖のようなスノーパウダーにカラキが使われ、最初はそのまま味わって、その後に黒みつをかけると、より濃厚な味わいとなった甘さがと香りが口の中にひろがるおいしさ。甘いもの好きにはたまらない味の変化をお楽しみあれ！

Other highlights available at the café include the “Shikuwasa Basque Cheesecake” and many other sweets. If you come as a group, it’s fun to order two or three different and share, so everyone can enjoy a variety of flavors.
